Job Summary: A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for interpreting customer provided drawings and determining how to manufacture the product by utilizing CAD models and CAM software to create process and instructions for machine tools such as mills , lasers, press brakes, and turret punch presses to fabricate and machine precision ferrous and non-ferrous alloy metals. Key responsibilities include determining the respective manufacturing strategy, updating manufacturing routings as needed within ERP, evaluate customer drawings and marking up drawings as needed to note critical manufacturing and/or quality details, selecting appropriate tooling given part geometry and specifications, determining feeds and speeds, running simulations to check for errors, and optimizing production efficiency.
