The duties of the position include but are not limited to the following: Distribution Engineering Prepares drawings of Water System facilities using AutoCad, including maps, construction drawings, as-built drawings, pipe location reports (PLR's), traffic control plans, charts, graphs and display; Reviews water facility installation drawings for compliance with DWP drafting and engineering standards, and determines suitable locations based on actual field conditions; Obtains substructure information from public sources, utilities, contractors, and survey drawings; Processes requests for information (RFI) to determine suitable design changes based on field condition; Responds to written and telephone RFls from public agencies, contractors, developers, consultants, and customers regarding technical aspects of water system facility design and water distribution issues (e . g. flow, pressure, etc); Maintains Water Service Maps, project records, drawings, files, and database...
