Job Description: The Engineering Department at Westchester Community College has a tenure-track opening for an Instructor of Engineering in Mechanical Technology. The department is seeking a professional with a combination of both academic and industrial experience. The candidate should be comfortable in both the classroom and laboratory settings. Courses offered in Mechanical Technology in our department include: CAD (AutoCAD & Inventor), Manufacturing (both conventional and CNC), Manufacturing Processes, Thermodynamics, Mechanisms, Fluids, Statics, Dynamics, with an emphasis on Automation, controls and mechatronics. Responsibilities include the following: Teach 15 hours a week. Hold a minimum of 5 office hours per week. Assist in the development and upgrade of curricula.
