The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports process development to ensure the optimization of quality, cost, and on-time delivery of products. This role is responsible for creating and improving CNC process steps through CNC programming, set-up and prove out. Collaboration with cross-functional teams within EMS is a critical element of this role. Responsibilities Collaborate with Engineering to develop CNC processes while developing special tooling and fixturing. Utilize CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam) to develop CNC programs for new products and improve existing processes. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations to determine the Process Development timeline - including machine availability. Develop the set-up process/documentation to ensure seamless transfer to Operations and ensure minimal changeover cycles.
