POSITION SUMMARY The EMS Design Engineer (Building Automation & Controls) is responsible for the design, coordination, commissioning, and support of Energy Management Systems (EMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) for new construction, remodel, and retrofit projects within commercial retail environments. This role supports refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, leak detection, and other building systems by developing control system designs, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building automation, energy management, refrigeration and HVAC systems, control system integration, and electrical design coordination. POSITION SUMMARY The Field Engineer / Commissioning Agent supports the start-up and commissioning of refrigeration, HVAC, and Energy Management System (EMS) infrastructure for supermarket new construction and remodel projects. This role focuses on executing commissioning activities, verifying system performance, and supporting final system acceptance at client sites. The Field Engineer / Commissioning Agent reports to the Manager of Field Engineering and works closely with engineering, construction, and client teams to ensure systems are installed, tested, and operating in accordance with project requirements. JOB PURPOSE The Refrigeration Engineer reports to the Refrigeration Engineering Manager and is responsible for the design and preparation of plans and specifications for the installation of supermarket refrigeration equipment and systems for new store, store remodel and capital maintenance projects. Assessments of existing equipment and installations, with recommendation to maintain, modify or replace, is included as part of the Engineer's responsibility for remodel and capital maintenance projects. This position will be engaged in and support CBES' work for a single selected supermarket client.
