POSITION SUMMARY McCarthy is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time Civil Design Engineer position within our Renewable Energy group. A successful Civil Design Engineer will create site plans and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D to support the project team. The preferred applicant will have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow in their career. RESPONSIBILITIES Create conceptual site plans and supporting documents using Civil 3D Produce preliminary engineering documents and related material for estimating purposes. Ensure proper dimensions of components and equipment through careful reading of specs or construction and engineering plans. Communicate technical aspects of a project with other disciplines in the department. Read and interpret topography maps, ALTA surveys, and other similar maps to determine project constraints to determine the buildable areas. POSITION SUMMARY The Structural Engineer will be supporting design and coordination of renewable energy projects. They will work closely with engineering, preconstruction and operations to ensure design feasibility and operations. They will be responsible for delivering design documents that are needed for construction. POSITION SUMMARY The Field Engineer has direct responsibility for the craft survey crew(s) to precisely layout temporary and permanent structures needed for the construction project(s). The Field Engineer is responsible for keeping the Project Superintendent and/or Project Manager accurately and fully informed of the survey aspects of the project(s), particularly with layout and as-built data. Tasks and responsibilities of the Field Engineer shall be described in a listing of project-specific duties as prepared by the Project Manager and/or Project Superintendent. POSITION SUMMARY The VDC Engineer is responsible for task level management. Implementation and execution of McCarthy's Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) Processes, tools, and best practices within their assigned projects. The VDC Engineer reports to the VDC Manager or next highest position.
