Manufacturing Engineer Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to develop, implement and maintain methods, processes and costs in support of Scot Forge customers and employee owners. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the department supervisors and other Scot Forge departments in an environment that fosters continuous improvement, lean principles and best practices. Recommend and implement improvements or modifications in the sequence of operations, work instructions, equipment utilization and other related subjects to improve safety, quality, process and costs. Scot Forge is migrating into an area that will require the application of automated systems in additive manufacturing, testing, and laboratory grade robotic furnace tending. The position will require the ability to design and direct design on automated systems in the Scot Forge domain. This includes a deep understanding of existing system controls, such as heat treat, and other control driven systems and be fluent in their operational programming architecture.
