Duties Description Incumbent will provide engineering and related technical support in DEC's Division of Operations.This will include work to develop new facilities and improve the condition and safety to existing DEC facilities. The job duties will include analysis, planning, design, inspections of sites and facilities; preparation of reports, contract documents, and estimates; and supervision of construction. The Assistant Engineer will serve as Project Engineer for major construction projects or a group of smaller construction projects. The incumbent may supervisor lower-level staff involved in the construction of various projects. The incumbent will also conduct site investigations including subsurface investigations.
