Job Description Marketing Statement Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) is currently seeking an experienced Manager of Engineering in the Infrastructure/Facilities Department. The individual will lead and manage a team of engineers focusing on Mechanical design and construction work that supports WMATA's Metrorail and Metrobus development programs. The incumbent also oversees engineering efforts related to the design of systems and resolution of field installation problems as well as the review and quality control of design and construction documents, drawings, and contractor submittals. The individual must have thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of Mechanical engineering including HVAC, fans, pumps, and plumbing systems, strong knowledge of mechanical system calculations, industry standards, and commercial software such as AutoCAD and Revit, and knowledge of applicable codes and regulations and federal and local laws.
