Assembly Engineer - Hands-On Role in Advanced Manufacturing

About the Role

NTN Driveshaft Anderson, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Assembly Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you'll develop, implement, and improve assembly processes for constant velocity joints (CVJs). You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, quality, and safety in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do
  • Support, develop, and improve manufacturing methods for assembly operations.
  • Test and evaluate equipment and components to eliminate failures and boost productivity.
  • Develop methods to maintain or increase production levels while improving safety, cost, and quality.
  • Design and improve tooling for CVJ assembly through reverse engineering and new designs.
  • Troubleshoot assembly process issues and implement solutions to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Plan and perform plant trials to determine performance capabilities.
  • Lead cost reduction activities and collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams.
  • Serve as technical leader for Engineering team, including technicians and support engineers.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams, and machine blueprints.
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks) a plus.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and programming robots, PLCs, servo controllers, and VFDs a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
