Pay Range$96,900.00 - $133,200.00 annually
This is the base salary range an applicant can expect upon hire. Actual pay will vary based on experience, skills, and education. This position is also eligible for an incentive bonus.
Position OverviewThe
Electrical and Controls Engineer II will provide plant support, troubleshooting, and lead improvement projects for our Richmond, IN facility, while also supporting capital projects as needed. This role ensures the facility meets or exceeds operational, environmental, and safety goals. Responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers and electricians, delivering training, and managing projects from start to finish across a broad range of industrial electrical and control system applications.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Perform power, electrical, and control systems engineering for all aspects of projects.
- Prepare and review technical electrical specifications for equipment, processes, and projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide on-call support for electrical and controls issues.
- Assist in reviewing and implementing corporate specifications and standards.
- Track and prioritize issues in collaboration with other departments.
- Support manufacturing operations and electrical safety initiatives.
- Communicate project status, issues, and changes to management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage external engineering resources and consultants as needed.
What You Bring to the Team- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications, including programming.
- Familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Project management experience, including managing projects $50k-$200k.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 10%).
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with 480V and 4160V power distribution systems.
- Knowledge of Honeywell systems (DCS).
- AutoCAD/electrical design experience.
