Pro Mechanical is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer for a position with a local manufacturing company. This is a direct hire position with the company. Job Details:

Design and develop refrigeration systems, including chillers, evaporators, condensers, and piping layouts
• Perform thermal and mechanical calculations to optimize energy efficiency and performance
• Select components and materials based on cost, durability, and manufacturing requirements
• Oversee creation of detailed CAD drawings and schematics for new installations and retrofits
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to integrate systems into workflows
• Support testing and validation of performance under simulated conditions
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, UL, CE, EPA, and regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems to reduce downtime and improve reliability

  • Pay: Salary range is $80,000- $90,000 based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Travel: Some international and domestic travel required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in refrigeration system design within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools
  • Strong grasp of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles
  • Familiarity with industrial refrigerants and pressure vessel design
  • Effective project management and documentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams
  • Preferred knowledge of PLCs and automated control systems
