Job Description
HGA is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support operations in Houston, TX. This Facilities Engineer is responsible for providing technical and project support to ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of compression, dehydration, and pipeline systems while supporting capital upgrades and asset integrity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and review engineering designs for facility upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
• Ensure designs and operations comply with ASME, API, DOT, FERC, and applicable state regulations.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for compressors, valves, metering, and related facility systems.
• Support reliability initiatives, root cause analysis, and performance optimization efforts.
• Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, contractor coordination, and execution support.
• Interface with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support engineering and operational needs.
• Support safety audits, inspections, and regulatory documentation requirements.
• Assist with integrity management programs, including corrosion control and cathodic protection (CP).
• Analyze operational and performance data to recommend long-term reliability and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of facilities engineering experience within natural gas or energy infrastructure environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of compression, dehydration, and pipeline systems.
• Familiarity with FERC and multi-state regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
• Experience with SCADA systems, instrumentation, or AutoCAD.
• Prior pipeline engineering or operations experience.
