Job Summary

As Head of Automation and Equipment Engineering, you will inspire, develop, coordinate, and support Rangeview's Automation and Equipment team. You will be a foundational member of the company, and will have freedom to help shape the way that Rangeview does engineering and brings products to market. Job Responsibilities
  • Lead & Scale Rangeview's Automation and Equipment team. Be accountable for delivery of automated manufacturing equipment to Rangeview's production organization which is reliable, performant, and safe.
  • Drive engineering excellence by implementing best practices in design, test, documentation, and qualification.
  • Own the Automation and Equipment roadmap, including headcount planning, budgeting, objectives, and justification.
  • Build strategic vendor relationships to ensure the scalability of Rangeview's production system.
  • Oversee project prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery timelines across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Implement processes to ensure scalable product development and collaboration with M&P, Software Engineering, Production, Business Development, Finance, and other teams.
  • Champion a culture of ownership, excellence, innovation, and mentorship within the engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or similar Engineering discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, automation, and/or manufacturing
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience (team lead, manager, director, or VP-level role).
  • Strong technical fundamentals in automation/equipment design, including mechanical design, electrical/controls development, failure mode analysis, and testing/qualification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with aerospace technical and quality requirements - AS9100, NADCAP, etc.
  • Experience with investment casting, vacuum melting & casting, heat treatment, ceramics manufacturing, or similar
  • Experience with SLA 3D printing
  • Worked for a high-growth tech company / start-up
  • Has been responsible for setting up new manufacturing facilities or production lines 0 to 1

Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed

Summary Pay Range

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline. Salaries are based on demonstrated candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
  • Level 5: $189,000-$231,000, plus equity
  • Level 6: $216,000-$264,000, plus equity
