About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Overhead Transmission Engineer to support the design and development of overhead transmission systems for power delivery projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and complex projects-ranging from new infrastructure builds to system upgrades-while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient solutions for clients.

As an Overhead Transmission Engineer, you will play a critical role in project execution, from early design concepts through technical analysis, implementation, and field assignments. You'll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to advancing energy infrastructure across multiple applications, including renewable integration, AC/DC conversion, and smart grid technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design, analysis, and development of overhead transmission line projects.
  • Provide technical expertise to address design challenges, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor project progress, performance, and budgets while minimizing delays through proactive problem-solving.
  • Prepare engineering documents, calculations, and drawings, while ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed.
  • Conduct field work as required to support design verification and construction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in power transmission and infrastructure design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in transmission line or utility projects.
  • Strong proficiency with PLS-Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with engineering and modeling software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, BlueBeam, FAD, or LPile (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a desire to collaborate and support senior engineers.
  • Active participation in professional engineering societies (preferred).

Salary Range: $82,000 - $92,500 (commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications).
