Price Industries Inc. is looking for an Industrial Engineer in Winder, GA , for our growing US office and manufacturing facility. The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in developing the manufacturing systems, workflows, and continuous improvement culture for our new plant. This position is responsible for designing efficient production processes, optimizing material flow, implementing lean methodologies, and supporting operational readiness as we move from plant launch to full production.
Responsibilities - Support the development, documentation, and validation of new manufacturing processes for the plant start-up.
- Assist in equipment selection, layout design, capacity planning, and workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth commissioning and production ramp-up.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Implement lean manufacturing methods such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and SMED.
- Develop standard work and perform time studies, takt time calculations, and labor optimization.
- Design ergonomic workstations, assembly lines, and material handling systems.
- Optimize plant layout to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and increase throughput.
- Lead or support PFMEA activities and risk mitigation efforts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Provide training to operators and supervisors on lean tools and new processes.
- Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Support audits, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis when process or quality issues arise.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field.
- Two to five years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, workflow design, and process optimization.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Strong skills in data analysis, time studies, and capacity modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in HVAC, metal fabrication, assembly operations, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting new plant launches or major production transitions.
- Familiarity with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Experience with ERP or MES system
