Drug screen and background check is mandatory prior to hire.Position DescriptionJob Summary:The Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering and infrastructure projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Job Responsibilities:- Coordinate and oversee engineering projects
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations in collaboration with internal teams and contractors.
- Support installation, maintenance, and modernization projects for infrastructure and mechanical/electrical systems.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and progress reports.
- Interface with contractors, vendors, and internal operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and schematics.
- Assist with procurement of project materials and ensure adherence to cost and quality standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot engineering or logistical challenges as they arise.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Position RequirementsQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Working knowledge of cranes, heavy equipment, or port systems preferred.
- Familiarity with project management principles (PMP certification a plus).
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and general Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work in an active port environment and adhere to all safety standards.
