Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Process Control / Instrumentation Engineer will support and assist the Engineering Department.

Role Responsibilities:
  • The Process Control / Instrumentation Engineer will conduct the following duties including but not limited to:
  • Design and implementation of PLC based automated process control for new production systems.
  • System start-up support.
  • Establishing, implementation of, and maintaining Preventive Maintenance programs for all new and existing process control and instrumentation systems.
  • Maintaining all plant process control and instrumentation systems.
  • Establishing, implementation of, and maintaining a Data Acquisition program for all new and existing systems.
  • Project Management.
  • Develop and design electrical and controls system schematics and drawings based on engineering principles using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
  • Ability to read, interpret and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control systems.
  • On-call position, may require working nights and weekends.

Education:
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Experience/Skills/Abilities:
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial process control and instrumentation.

Job Expectations/Working Conditions:
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs in buildings.
  • Requires ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, and pushing.
  • Ability to work outdoors throughout the year in extreme temperatures.
