Working at EMUS as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer you will be given the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge and skills in a fast-paced, safety-conscious manufacturing environment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for working in the toner process department with assignments to evaluate, troubleshoot, and design modifications to improve the performance of manufacturing equipment. Provide leadership to complete individual and team projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from start to completion including, prepare overall project schedule, estimate total project cost, calculate ROI or benefits, planning, RFQ, quotes, installation, evaluate vendor quality, vendor management, trials, pre-mass, turn over, and final document preparation.
- Investigate and recommend equipment modifications to improve production efficiency, performance and reliability.
- Design and fabricate or organize for external fabrication of new and replacement parts.
- Creating 2D & 3D mechanical and layout drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Support and perform Kaizen improvement activities as a mechanical engineer in Toner process manufacturing.
- Hands on troubleshooting of routine to complex manufacturing equipment problems, determine root cause of failures/problems and implement countermeasures.
- Provide hands on troubleshooting assistance to maintenance and production when needed.
- Support the sustainment of existing production lines using the ECR-ECO process to implement improvements.
- Quickly respond to and provide solutions to ergonomic and safety related issues.
- Assist with plant utilities, compressed air, chilled water and process water. Calculate flow, pressure and demand requirements.
- Create and modify troubleshooting, start-up, equipment setup documents and other procedures.
- Create and modify preventive maintenance documents. Prepare schedules for Preventive maintenance as per manufacturing company's equipment manuals.
- Prepare and present reports with detailed root cause analysis and data.
- Prepare and present reports to get approval for projects and modifications.
- Prepare training materials to train production and maintenance personnel on the usage and maintenance of equipment.
