Why This Role Matters

ERM is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Consulting Associate, Engineering, Remediation to join our growing team. Working under the direction of professional engineers, project managers, and partners, you will support remediation projects across the US and global locations. Responsibilities include remedial design and management of remedial construction for groundwater, sediment, soil, and vapor media using in-situ and ex-situ technologies.

This is a great opportunity to work with ERM's technical experts on complex remediation projects for large industrial and global clients.

What You'll Bring

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering (minimum 3.0 GPA); Master's preferred.
  • Recent graduate to 2 years of experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training preferred.
  • Knowledge of civil/geotechnical design including stormwater, erosion control, grading, and landfill closure.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship

Preferred
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
  • Engineer-in-Training preferred.
  • Local candidates preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in engineering design for soil and groundwater remediation projects.
  • Evaluate remedial technologies for site-specific applications.
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, bid packages, cost estimates, and specifications.
  • Provide construction oversight and Construction Quality Assurance.
  • Perform monitoring, O&M on remediation systems.
  • Conduct pilot tests, QA activities, and construction oversight.
  • Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and inspectors.
  • Communicate with clients, regulators, and site contacts.
  • Coordinate projects with ERM offices globally.
  • Work within quality, budget, and schedule expectations.

For the Consulting Associate, Engineering, Remediation position, the anticipated annual base pay is $66,000-$88,775 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
