About the opportunity

An established MEP consulting engineering team is hiring a Plumbing Engineer or Plumbing Designer to support plumbing system design and coordinated construction documents across a variety of building projects.

Responsibilities

Plumbing design production

• Design plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare, education, residential, and multifamily buildings
• Prepare plumbing plans, specifications, and construction documents

Sizing, layout, and code application

• Perform system sizing and layout
• Apply plumbing codes and design standards to design decisions

Coordination and construction support

• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Support multi-story building projects with repetitive system layouts
• Review shop drawings and assist during construction phases

Qualifications

Required qualifications

• 4 or more years of experience in an MEP or consulting engineering environment
• Plumbing building systems design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (skills may be evaluated)
• Working knowledge of plumbing codes and design standards

Preferred qualifications

• Revit experience strongly preferred
• Professional Engineer license or Engineer in Training is a plus and may impact compensation
• Bachelor's degree preferred
