Hybrid | Direct Hire

Oxford Solutions is working with an established engineering firm seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer with 4-7 years of experience to support industrial and municipal water projects. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid work schedule. Candidates with Maryland or Pennsylvania project experience are strongly preferred, though experience in other states will be considered.

This role focuses heavily on industrial NPDES-related work, including water intake and discharge permitting and compliance, supporting clients such as power plants, steel manufacturing facilities, and mission-critical/data center operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in water and wastewater process and pipeline design projects for industrial and municipal clients
  • Support civil engineering design and calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater components associated with new development, modifications, or remediation projects
  • Contribute to technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, and development of technical plans
  • Prepare and complete permit applications for regulatory processing, including industrial NPDES permits
  • Perform field work such as water sampling, site inspections, and construction administration support, including field observation reports
  • Prepare engineering plans and drawings using AutoDesk Civil 3D

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited college; Master's degree a plus
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 4-7 years of relevant water/wastewater engineering experience, including industrial NPDES (water intake/discharge) related tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality work, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Revit and BIM is desired
  • Knowledge of GIS software is a plus, including ArcGIS and experience modeling water/wastewater networks
