Job Description
This role is for a civil engineer with a strong background in hydrology, drainage, and site development who can support projects from initial design through construction. The position involves performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater runoff, drainage systems, and detention facilities, as well as preparing grading and drainage plans, SWPPPs, and full construction documents for site development projects. The engineer will be responsible for completing drainage calculations for pipe sizing and detention, preparing preliminary engineering reports as needed, and coordinating technical issues with other disciplines, subconsultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
The role also includes supporting projects during construction by reviewing submittals and RFIs and working closely with project teams to keep work moving forward. Day-to-day work is performed primarily in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required, along with a PE license; a CFM is a plus. The ideal candidate has around ten or more years of experience focused on hydrology and drainage, a solid understanding of municipal standards and permitting, and the ability to take ownership of work while interacting directly with clients and reviewers.
