Job Description
Key Responsibilities- Design mechanical equipment and fabricated components used in commercial and industrial systems
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications for fabrication and production
- Collaborate with project managers, fabrication teams, and field personnel to ensure equipment designs meet project requirements
- Review project specifications and customer requirements to develop appropriate equipment solutions
- Support fabrication and production teams during the build process to ensure designs are executed correctly
- Assist with design modifications and problem-solving when production or installation challenges arise
- Maintain accurate design documentation and engineering records
- Ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company quality expectations
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
- Experience with mechanical design, equipment design, or industrial systems
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design platforms
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and equipment layout
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, fabrication, and field teams
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally visit fabrication or production areas
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when needed
- Ability to work in both office and shop environments
- Up to 40% travel
