Job Description

  • Prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and secondary structure modification of Bombardier aircraft such as detail, assembly and installation drawings, specification documents and substantiation reports.
  • Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications.
  • Research specification for component selection. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met.
  • Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests.
  • Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required.
  • Work in a team environment

Requirements
  • You will hold a Bachelor of Science Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or will have a minimum of five (5) years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.
  • Working knowledge of integration of ECS systems, waste and potable water systems, and other commodities associated with interior installations.
  • You are proficient creating mechanical drawings using CATIA (required) and AutoCAD (additional)
  • You will have a working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).
  • You will be proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
  • You must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple initiatives effectively.
  • You must exhibit excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • You should be an organized individual, able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments and organizations with a general good attitude and disposition.
  • Effective communication of design intent, and design resolution are preferred.
