Job Description

Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire a Senior Civil Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with a flexible hybrid schedule. This role supports power generation projects and is ideal for a licensed engineer with strong experience in environmental compliance, water resources, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead civil engineering efforts for power generation and infrastructure projects, including site development, water resources, and wastewater systems
  • Manage and mentor a team of entry to mid-level engineers, technical specialists, and EITs
  • Oversee environmental compliance initiatives, including NPDES permitting, regulatory interpretation, and permit strategy development
  • Prepare and review discharge monitoring reports, sampling data, and regulatory documentation
  • Manage multi-disciplinary projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and client communication
  • Direct design and preparation of civil/site deliverables such as grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management plans, utility layouts, and access road designs
  • Develop hydrology and hydraulic reports and support permitting efforts (earth disturbance, land development, highway occupancy, water obstruction and encroachment, water quality, etc.)
  • Oversee preparation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Support water and wastewater system design including collection, conveyance, treatment, pumping, and storage

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's degree a plus)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 5+ years of project management experience within civil or environmental engineering
  • Strong knowledge of NPDES regulations and environmental compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting industrial or power-related projects preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and plan production
  • Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams and interact with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
