Entry Professional within the Mechanical Design job family. Learns to use professional concepts. Applies knowledge and basic problem solving techniques to define and resolve problems. Determines a course of action based on guidelines. Complexity & Problem Solving: Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Work is reviewed periodically based on a set of defined procedures or precedence. Normally receives general instruction on work and new assignments. Collaboration & Interaction: Develops stable working relationships internally. Exchanges standard/basic information with colleagues and immediate supervisor, project leaders and other professionals in the team./group.
Entry Professional (Salaried-Individual Contributor)

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
  • 2 years of experience in design and development with a strong emphasis in the manufacturing process including but not limited to work instructions is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience doing detailed CAD design; SolidWorks strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Aerospace or Military Industry is a plus.
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills and accountability to drive issues to closure.
  • Demonstrated desire for learning and applying a continuous improvement approach.
  • Understanding quality requirements and how a component is inspected based on detailed drawing specifications/tolerances.
  • Some materials experience preferred.
  • Hands on electric motor, gearing, solenoid, and electromechanical design experience is a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools.
  • This position requires domestic and possibly international travel up to 20 percent.
