Job Description: Overview:The
Project Engineer leads the design and coordination of land development projects for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Applies advanced civil engineering knowledge to produce site layouts, grading, utilities, and drainage plans.
Responsibilities:- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil site projects
- Develop grading, drainage, and utility designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Conduct feasibility analyses and layout studies for site optimization
- Support permitting efforts with reports, exhibits, and technical responses
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory entities
- Perform quality reviews of design deliverables
- Guide junior engineers and review their technical work
- Prepare drainage studies and utility service reports
- Manage task-level schedules and project milestones
- Attend client meetings and contribute to project planning
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in land development or civil site design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with grading, utility, and drainage design standards
