Job Description

Bruce Aerospace is seeking a results-driven Process Engineer responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency, process reliability, and production throughput across a multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment. This role supports operations including electronics assembly, sheet metal fabrication, machine shop operations, wire harness manufacturing, 3D printing, automated and computer-guided soldering systems, surface mount technology (SMT), injection molding, and precision lens painting.

What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Support scale-up of new products and processes, including equipment selection, installation, and upgrades.
  • Develop process documentation (FMEAs, control plans, Standard Work Instructions).
  • Manage capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and IT to improve ERP system usage and data accuracy.
  • Maintain and optimize Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and labor standards within the ERP system.
  • Assist in ERP upgrades, module implementations, and system process improvements.

What We're Looking For
  • S. in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, data analysis and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with process troubleshooting and equipment optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • To conform with US export regulations and ITAR 120.15 and EAR Part 772, incumbents for this role must be eligible for any required authorizations from the US government.

Preferred Experience
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 systems, MRP, BOM management, or similar.
