Lead product engineering activities for new product launches and product modifications from concept through release • Coordinate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities related to R&D projects • Define product fit, form, and function based on customer technical requirements and application needs • Develop product designs including drawings, CAD models, prototype builds, and validation plans • Plan and execute material, dimensional, and performance testing to ensure compliance with OEM specifications and internal standards • Analyze validation results and provide technical recommendations for product approval, launch, or design changes • Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to support OEM, private label, and internal customers with technical expertise • Interface with customers and suppliers to review designs, test results, cost optimization initiatives, and technical concerns • Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings (Pro-E / Creo or SolidWorks) in accordance with company design standards • Provide technical support to Manufacturing for production inquiries and to Quality for customer complaint resolution • Ensure product functionality and durability meet intended application requirements • Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with company systems and procedures • Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
Experience • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Required Skills • Strong understanding and application of engineering principles • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timing requirements
Preferred Skills • Knowledge of filtration or filter manufacturing processes • Program or project management experience • Proficiency in 3D solid modeling (CAD)
