Job Summary:

Startech Networks is seeking an experienced OSP Quality Control Engineer with strong expertise in OSP engineering, field validation, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and quality of OSP designs and field data for FTTH/FTTB projects, with a strong focus on AT&T standards and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control and validation of OSP designs, field data, and construction deliverables.
  • Review and verify OSP scoping, routing, and design outputs to ensure compliance with project requirements and client standards.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to AT&T engineering guidelines, including FTTH and FTTB deployments.
  • Conduct audits of field data, redlines, and as-built documentation.
  • Validate fiber design elements including UG (Underground), Aerial, and Buried infrastructure.
  • Review manhole, conduit, and handhole designs for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting in tools like ARAMIS and other AT&T systems.
  • Analyze and verify KMZ files, field notes, and design data using tools like Google Earth.
  • Ensure compliance with ROW permits, pole loading, and utility regulations.
  • Coordinate with design teams, field engineers, vendors, and clients to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain quality standards while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide feedback and training to teams to improve overall design and field quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in OSP Engineering and Quality Control.
  • Strong knowledge of FTTH, FTTB, and AT&T GPON design standards.
  • Hands-on experience with ARAMIS and AT&T tools is mandatory.
  • Ability to read and review designs using AutoCAD and other drafting systems.
  • Strong understanding of OSP design principles and field data collection.
  • Experience in quality audits, validations, and documentation review.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage timelines and handle multiple projects efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Google Earth and KMZ file validation is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
