SUMMARY: This position is assigned to the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO), Idaho Army National Guard (IDARNG), functioning within the State of Idaho - Military Division. The primary purpose of this position is to perform nonprofessional technical work in functions such as design, plans development, inspections, data collection, analysis, data input, and assistance in materials testing. These activities require application of the basic principles of engineering technology, computer drafting and related disciplines.

MILITARY DIVISION MANDATORY QUESTIONS:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

(1) Must be an enlisted member or Warrant Officer of the Idaho National Guard. This requirement will be waived if selected incumbent is in a civilian or waived status.

(2) Must have and maintain a valid and fully privileged state issued driver's license (from any state). Provide your driver's license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver's license.)

(3) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable NACI/T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable NACI/T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Must have 24-months of experience performing work related to the knowledge requirements below. Submit a paragraph for each knowledge requirement that demonstrates the required experience and describes competence in applying the knowledge. Education and training may be used to offset experience.

(1) Describe your knowledge of established engineering techniques, principles and practices as it relates to construction and facilities management.

(2) Describe your proficiency/skill in using the Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

(3) Describe your ability to read, interpret and assist in making of sketches, drawings, diagrams and charts using a wide variety of precedents and technical guidelines.

(4) Describe your ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner to coordinate and accomplish work objectives and prepare reports.

(5) Describe your ability to learn and proficiently utilize work area specific computer programs such as PRIDE (Real Property online database), iEMS (Integrated Engineering Management System for accounting and work order processing), and AutoCAD. Provide information on programs and/or systems that you have worked with to prioritize and manage competing requirements.

(6) Describe your knowledge of current environmental and safety concerns/practices as they pertain to construction projects.
