Job Duties and Tasks for Engineer at Engineered Systems

  1. Estimating new crane projects including materials, fabrication, installation, and testing

    1. Structural Steel design to conform to AISC, IBC, and CMAA standards
  2. Ability to lead and encourage others in a team atmosphere
  3. Interaction with customers on a technical level regarding crane loads being transmitted to their building and floor/foundations
  4. Scheduling of fabrication, and wiring shop labor activities to meet customer timelines
  5. Provide engineering support to the Engineering manager, Sales, and Project Managers
  6. Develop tools and standards to optimize estimating accuracy and efficiency
  7. Provide drafting support to the Lead Drafter based on current drawing work loads
  8. Develop/Implement 3D structural analysis to conform to applicable codes and standards
  9. Work with fabrication, wiring, and sales to improve product and processes
  10. Work with vendors on quotes, and implementing new product designs
  11. Site surveys and reverse engineering systems to give sound engineering recommendations
  12. Work towards getting Professional Engineering certification
  13. Willing to work 40+ hours a week (M-F 7AM-4PM)

Knowledge Requirements for Engineer at Engineered Systems

  1. 4-year accredited degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Structural)
  2. Preferred emphasis on Structural Engineering background
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, 2D AutoCAD, and 3D structural such as Revit or Advanced Steel.
  4. Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  5. Ability to take limited input information and generate a sound engineering judgement

  8. Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
  9. Must be reliable with a strong work ethic
  10. Ability to work efficiently both individually and as a part of a team
  11. Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic


Compensation
$55,000 - $63,000 per year
