We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and working closely with production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess manufacturability of new products in collaboration with Design Engineering and Customers
  • Identify efficient production methods and provide accurate product costing
  • Design and procure tooling, fixtures, and production aids using 3D CAD software (Solid Edge, SolidWorks)
  • Provide technical support to Production related to quality, process, and tooling issues
  • Lead product prototyping, design changes, and testing activities
  • Develop production standards, workflows, and conduct time studies
  • Optimize manufacturing systems, equipment utilization, and automation
  • Collaborate with production leaders and support teams to improve fabrication, assembly, and supply chain processes
  • Plan facility layouts to improve workflow and setup efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement and waste-reduction initiatives
  • Research, program, test, and operate advanced manufacturing equipment (CNC machines, robots/cobots, software)
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering or related field)
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required)
  • Experience with ERP and/or MRP systems
  • Knowledge of DFM, PFMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma principles is an asset
  • Experience with 2D drafting and 3D solid modelling (SolidWorks or similar)
  • Understanding of BOMs, capacity planning, and manufacturing management processes
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (less than 10%)
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for continuous improvement
