Who You Are
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering lead with a strong background in injection molding and contract manufacturing coordination who is enthusiastic to discover and implement solutions on our Roca Robotics platforms. As a Mechanical Engineering lead, you will have an exciting opportunity to own the mechanical designs of our card sorting robotic platforms. Your contributions will help shape the future of our robots.
If you are a Robotics Engineer with experience in leading the design of mechanical systems and production support, while being genuinely excited to build sorting robots that solve problems for customers, then TCGplayer is the right place for you.
The Impact You Will Make Here
Play a lead role in designing, developing and bringing to market innovative robotic sorting solutions.
Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and customer support teams to ensure we are building the best solutions for our customers.
Own mechanical improvements to current products and help define future products.
Lead projects, own deliverables and update stakeholders on projects.
Help improve and refine the Roca manufacturing process
What You Bring to the Team
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
10-15 years of experience in robotics or complex mechanical systems.
Expertise with Computer Aided Drafting, Solidworks preferred
Expertise with assembling and testing prototypes
Expertise with design for manufacturing
Experience with systems that handle paper and/or cardboard
Experience owning deliverables and leading teams to bring complex electro-mechanical systems to market.
You'll go beyond if you have
Experience with miniature pneumatic and vacuum systems
Experience with motion control principles
Experience with triboelectric charge mitigation and plastics
Experience with 3D Printing
Interest and experience within the hobby gaming industry and collectible cards
Experience solving and supporting production and operational technical challenges

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$118,800 - $205,600

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
