Position Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support our Engineering and Product Development teams. This role involves working within our ERP, SolidWorks, PDM (Product Data Management), and SWOOD systems to help manage product data, support design and configuration efforts, and improve data workflows across engineering and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in maintaining and updating product data in the ERP system (e.g., item masters, BOMs, routings).
- Work within SolidWorks and PDM to support 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawing updates.
- Utilize SWOOD for wood product configuration, parametric design, and manufacturing output preparation.
- Help organize and clean up digital files and CAD data structures to streamline design-to-manufacture workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Purchasing, and R&D, to support engineering change requests and documentation.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives involving automation, data integrity, and design standardization.
- Participate in team meetings, technical reviews, and training sessions.
Qualifications: - Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks; experience with PDM and SWOOD is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with data entry and management in ERP systems (experience with [insert ERP name] is a plus).
