About the Role
In this role, you will lead traffic engineering projects including traffic studies, signal design, ITS systems, and signing and striping plans.

You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and agencies to develop solutions that improve traffic operations and safety. As a Project Manager, you will guide project delivery from planning through implementation while mentoring team members and supporting their growth.

You will also play a key role in client engagement and business development, helping expand relationships and identify new opportunities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead traffic engineering projects including traffic studies, signal design, ITS systems, and signing and striping plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated transportation solutions
  • Take ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, and overall delivery
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Mentor and guide engineering staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Support business development efforts including proposals, client outreach, and industry involvement
  • Participate in quality reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with standards

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in Arizona (MUST HAVE)
  • Familiarity with project delivery processes of agencies in Arizona is a plus.
  • Eight or more years of experience in traffic engineering, ITS, or related projects
  • Experience with traffic studies, signal design, and traffic analysis tools such as Synchro or SimTrafficFamiliarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design tools
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Involvement in professional organizations such as ITE, ITS America, ASCE, or APWA is a plus
