Crawford, Murphy & Tilly is seeking a entry-level Structural Engineer I to join our Water Resources group in the St. Louis, MO office. This is not a remote position.

As an entry-level Water Resources Structural Engineer I, you'll play a key role in supporting the St Louis, MO team, while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment. Join us and help shape the future of engineering and consulting.

What you will do:
  • Support a variety of engineering, planning, or corporate projects
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas
  • Developing technical reports and presenting collaborative ideas
  • Be open to feedback and professional growth
  • Engineering new grads: assist with planning preparation & field visits alongside experienced engineers
  • Corporate new grads: Support process improvement and team collaboration within business units

Here is what you'll need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures from an accredited university
  • 0-5 years related structural engineering experience with a strong emphasis in the design of bridges and structures
  • Working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD
  • Ability to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to adjust as project workload demands change
  • Proficient with various structural design and analysis software
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in the field, as needed, for engineering roles
  • Possession of a current and valid driver's license to travel to field sites, as needed, for engineering roles

Ideally, you will also have:
  • 0-4 years of Civil Engineering or internship experience related to your field
  • FE certification or the ability to obtain certification in anticipation of PE certification
  • Previous internship or co-op experience
  • Coursework:
    • Prestressed/Post tensioned Concrete
    • Steel Structures II/Reinforced Concrete II
    • Excavation and Support Systems
    • Foundation Engineering
  • Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,500 - $76,700 annually. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
