Role DefinitionDesigns, develops, builds, and implements new components, products, or technologies in a self directed manner. Supports engineers with creation of product or project definition, prepares 3D models, drawings and specifications, and records data. This role also leverages advanced CAD and PLM tools-including Creo, Windchill, Creo View, and Model Based Definition (MBD)-to support new designs, updates, and complex engineering studies.
Responsibilities• Creates new designs and resolves manufacturing or operational issues, for complex components and systems. Ensuring design acceptance, manufacturing producibility, and validation. Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
• Applying and developing new technologies and process improvements to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Uses Creo to produce new designs and engineering updates for cored blades and nozzles, dampers, and compressor components, ensuring accuracy in complex geometry and producibility considerations.
• Implements design changes, performs design studies, and executes engine layout stack ups that involve advanced parametric modeling, surfacing, and Large Assemblies Management within Creo.
• Applies and supports Model Based Definition (MBD) to streamline downstream consumption of annotated 3D models, ensuring compliance with digital manufacturing and inspection requirements.
Degree RequirementBachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Top Candidates should have:• Expert knowledge of advance 3D parametric solid modeling CAD systems PTC Creo. Knowledge in Siemens NX is a plus
• Expert in advanced techniques and documented procedures for the creation and data management of solid parametric models/drawings. Expert understanding of model quality.
• Proficient in advanced applications of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing theory (ASME Y14.5), gaging and inspection techniques.
• Should demonstrate strong knowledge of configuration and change management using PLM systems such as Windchill

• Performs manipulations on design objects, such as changing projections and managing drawing layers.
• Directs the matrix computations performed to transform objects in coordinate space.
• Consults on benefits and drawbacks of top-down design vs. bottom-up design.
• Compares and contrasts uses of bird's-eye views and worm's-eye views.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets project requirements and timelines.
Summary Pay Range:$120,600.00 - $180,900.00
