As a Design Engineer, you will drive innovation by...
- Drive the full life cycle of new product designs, subassemblies, and components
- Develop product improvements as either product line extensions or value engineering cost savings
- Calculate and validate critical mechanical and/or electrical design parameters ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective designs
- Collaborate with product development team, consultants, suppliers, and manufacturing to develop concepts, resolve design issues, and implement designs into production that meet cost, timeline, and specification targets
- Prepare 3D CAD models and drawings for components and assemblies
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including BOM's, drawings, and work instructions for new and existing products
- Support production to achieve goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting cross-functional initiatives
Requirements - Engineering Foundation: Bachelor of Science in engineering related field, or equivalent experience with at least 2 years product design experience
- Manufacturing Fluency: A deep understanding of manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, stampings, aluminum and steel weldments, and precision machining
- CAD Expertise: Advanced proficiency in 3D Solid modeling; SolidWorks experience preferred
- Project Agility: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Demonstrated skills in engineering project management and organizational efficiency
- Technical Extras: Experience with Refrigeration, Electro-Mechanical design, or Lean Manufacturing is a major plus
- Global Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to travel (up to 10% internationally) to support our global partners
- Must be results-driven: A self-motivated professional with a proven track record of meeting delivery milestones
- Soft Skills: Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
