Job Title: Senior Telecommunications Infrastructure Engineer (BIM & OSP)

Role Overview
We are seeking a high-level Telecommunications Systems Engineer to lead the design and execution of complex, large-scale infrastructure projects. As the Telecom Scope Owner, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary design team (Architectural, MEP, Structural) to produce fully coordinated 3D BIM models and construction packages. This role spans the entire project lifecycle-from Outside Plant (OSP) distribution to intricate interior communication room layouts and rack elevations. You will interface directly with client counterparts to ensure all designs meet high-performance technical specifications and global industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Technical Design Leadership: Act as the primary design lead for telecom scope on multi-building projects. Lead the creation of OSP, inter/intra-building backbone distribution, and wireless device plans.
• 3D Modeling & Coordination: Leverage Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD to create fully coordinated 3D models. Ensure seamless integration across all disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L).
• System Layouts: Design detailed communication room layouts, rack elevations, and comprehensive cable schedules.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs and calculations align with NEC (NFPA 70), TIA, and BICSI industry standards.
• Project Management: Estimate and schedule design efforts for multi-phase projects. Edit construction specifications and provide quality assurance for systems designed by external partners.
• Commissioning: Support the start-up and commissioning phases of telecommunications systems to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Two-year technical degree or four-year degree required; Bachelor's in Engineering is preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications design and construction.
• Technical Mastery:
• Deep knowledge of TIA standards, BICSI design practices, and NEC requirements.
• Strong background in Structured Cabling Design.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and Navisworks for design review and coordination.
• Software: Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a technical design team under tight deadlines.

Preferred Credentials
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) credential.
• Experience in the Semiconductor or High-Tech manufacturing industry.
• Design experience with Emergency Responder Radio and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
• Additional BICSI certifications (OSP, RTPM).
