Position Purpose:Support the weld / fab processes in the facility, troubleshoot and assist in problem isolation and solution. Provide back-up support to paint/assembly and machining areas as needed.
Essential Functions:- Apply concepts and details of gauging, fixtures and tooling to assist in problem solving.
- Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency can be improved to increase throughput or product quality.
- Help in maintaining and control part programs for all weld/fab areas.
- When necessary, help to evaluate existing tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement.
- Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility in manufacturing functions
Education & Training:- Five to seven years' experience in manufacturing facility.
Minimum Qualifications:- Ability to interpret prints sketches, verbal instructions, and mathematical data to identify tooling, gauging, and fixturing.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Formal training in robotics systems, CNC controls, machining, and SPC.
- AutoCAD experience a plus.
- Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement.
- PLC programming knowledge.
- Shift flexibility a must.
- FANUC Robotics background preferred.
- Welding Experience is a plus
