Postion: Structural Engineering
Location : Naperville, Illinois, United States
Key Responsibilities Project Management & Engineering - Lead structural engineering projects from proposal through completion.
- Coordinate directly with senior engineers, executives, and clients.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to design, evaluation, and problem-solving tasks.
- Visit job sites as necessary to assess project conditions and progress.
Technical Design & Oversight - Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of project types.
- Ensure work adheres to industry standards and best practices.
- Use software tools such as RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, and Excel; basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting platforms is required.
Team Leadership & Collaboration - Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design staff.
- Ensure clear communication and quality control across project phases.
- Coordinate internal resources and manage project timelines and budgets.
Client Engagement & Development - Participate in business development and marketing activities with targeted clients.
- Foster long-term client relationships through professional service delivery.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a focus on structural design.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, NDS, Building Codes).
- Proficient with engineering software tools; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting tools preferred.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Certified as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training / Fundamentals in Engineering (EIT / FE)
