Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design manufacturability and quality.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate design performance.
• Troubleshoot design-related production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA principles and their application.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining).
• Experience with FEA simulations for design validation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with DFM/DFA principles and their application in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in using FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus) for design validation and optimization.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes beyond core expertise (e.g., injection molding, casting, welding).
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and their application in technical drawings.
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
