Litens offers a fulfilling and supportive environment where ingenuity is rewarded, collaboration is encouraged, and opportunities for growth are readily available. We are committed to equal employment opportunity and to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace for all employees.

Why Join Litens?

At Litens, you can make a tangible impact. We offer a competitive, people-first approach to compensation and benefits, along with the flexibility and support needed for our employees to succeed. Our teams work on technically challenging problems at the intersection of mechanical design, electrification, automation, and advanced manufacturing.

What You'll Do

As a Test Systems Development Engineer at Litens, you will develop and deploy specialized test systems used in the development and validation of electric motors, thermal management devices, and related electro-mechanical products. Your responsibilities will emphasize equipment and infrastructure that enable performance, durability, efficiency, and robustness testing across the product lifecycle.
  • Designing and architecting motor, pump, and/or other electro-mechanical product test systems, including mechanical fixturing, enclosures, fluid circuits, pneumatics, and safety systems
  • Creating detailed CAD models, layouts, and schematics (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic), and validating designs using appropriate FEA and thermal analysis techniques
  • Developing test system concepts that balance test accuracy, repeatability, throughput, cost, footprint, and development timing
  • Analyzing system-level constraints such as torque, speed, flow, pressure, thermal limits, and duty cycle, and translating them into robust test solutions
  • Supporting instrumentation and integration of sensors for torque, speed, pressure, flow, temperature, vibration, and efficiency measurement
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to test capability, reliability, serviceability, and ease of operation
  • Supporting build, debug, commissioning, and validation of test systems, including troubleshooting mechanical, fluid, and integration issues
  • Conducting and supporting Acceptance Testing and commissioning for internally developed or supplier-built equipment
  • Collaborating with motor, pump, controls, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to ensure test systems meet current and future development needs

What You'll Bring
  • 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineer with a focus on testing, validation, machine design, robotics, and/or product development
  • Demonstrated experience transitioning products and processes from prototype through to production
  • Solid understanding of solid mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, dynamics, material selection, prototyping methods, testing techniques, and machining/fabrication processes
  • Exposure to sensors, microcontrollers, relays, and automated industrial equipment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Proficiency with structured problem-solving approaches (8D, 5-Why, etc.)
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools such as SolidWorks, Matlab/Simulink, Ansys, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of LabView or similar data acquisition and control platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent experience
