Position Description

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion. This role ensures technical accuracy, project efficiency, and alignment with client and organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems, components, and processes
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, procurement, and quality)
  • Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
  • Monitor project progress and resolve technical or scheduling issues
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders regarding project status and requirements
  • Support testing, validation, and commissioning of mechanical systems
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2-5+ years of relevant engineering or project experience (varies by level)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
