Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Promote Safety as the number one priority for all Lucas employees.
- Assist engineers with day-to-day project tasks and engineering assignments including testing, data collection, troubleshooting, and reporting
- Support design, testing, analysis, and documentation activities.
- Create, revise, and maintain CAD drawings, models, and engineering documentation.
- Support machine programming, setup, and optimization activities for manufacturing equipment and automated processes.
- Assist with CNC, PLC, robotic, or other machine programming updates as directed by engineering staff.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data related to engineering projects.
- 2-Year Technical Degree or Equivalent Experience in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Manufacturing, or related field).
- Experience with or willingness to learn CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to machine programming, CNC programming, PLCs, automation systems, or manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles related to field of study.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
