Onsite Job: Structure & Payloads Design Engineer Level 3 Work Location: Everett, WABachelor ABET must Shift: First Start Time:8:00 AM End Time:4:30 PM Is Clearance Required To Start?No Job Description: - Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
- Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with suppliers to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
- Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
- Works under general supervision.
Must Haves: - Experience with engineering processes and tools including CSDT, CATIA, ENOVIA, PDM, and associated release processes.
- Experience with aircraft cabin and cargo engineering products and designs.
- Experience with engineering support within a production system.
- Experience with direct engagement working with/for aerospace suppliers or airlines.
- Experience supporting validation of compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with regulators.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Experience with aircraft cargo compartment and handling system design, integration, and/or certification.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team.
Preferred: - Basic understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes (Boeing experience is a plus).
- 2+ years of experience in program or project management, including schedule development, financial assessments, resource planning, and risk/issues management.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.
Education / Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences) with
5+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
