Job Description

Your Tasks:
  • Design and engineer conveyor systems for automotive paint finishing and industrial manufacturing projects. Lead system layouts, engineering calculations, equipment selection, and project execution while collaborating with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. Ideal for engineers with conveyor, material handling, or automated manufacturing systems experience.

  • Develop complete conveyor system layouts, calculations, and engineering documentation from customer requirements and project specifications
  • Evaluate existing conveyor installations and recommend improvements or modifications
  • Perform engineering calculations related to conveyor drives, production rates, and system performance
  • Select purchased equipment and support supplier and subcontractor coordination
  • Manage engineering deliverables, project schedules, and equipment budgets
  • Collaborate with CAD designers and subcontract engineering resources to ensure project success
  • Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and technical discussions
  • Support installation, startup, commissioning, and field verification activities as needed
  • Identify technical challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions

Your Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience designing conveyor or material handling systems
  • Knowledge of skid, pendulum, and overhead power & free conveyor systems
  • Understanding of conveyor drive calculations, production rate calculations, and conveyor safety standards
  • Ability to interpret conveyor layouts, schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design software
  • Strong project coordination, organization, and communication skills
  • Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams
  • Knowledge of conveyor controls and SAP is a plus
