Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description:Using SolidWorks, responsible for 3D/2D Design activities required for Current and New Products in any of the following areas: New Product Development, Testing, Manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES:- Create designs and detail drawings independently or along with a team of engineers and designers, using Solidworks software.
- Ensure that the design is created in accordance with required specifications.
- May assist in building a prototype of the intended vehicle for testing and approval.
- Make modifications and/or integrate new improvements into new designs or existing designs to improve their performance. integrate new technology and make more cost effective.
- Integrate new improvements into designs and with the quality assurance team to ensure that required quality standards are adhered to.
- Interact with sales and customers, on design specifications, to ensure total satisfaction.
- Assist in the creation and improvement of company wide process documentation.
- Supports and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts.
- Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:- 1-3 years of recent Design/CAD experience required
- Solidworks experience highly preferred
- Solidworks Professional Certifications a plus
- Design/Engineering degree preferred
- Experience with JD Edwards ERP a plus
