Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description:

Using SolidWorks, responsible for 3D/2D Design activities required for Current and New Products in any of the following areas: New Product Development, Testing, Manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES:
  • Create designs and detail drawings independently or along with a team of engineers and designers, using Solidworks software.
  • Ensure that the design is created in accordance with required specifications.
  • May assist in building a prototype of the intended vehicle for testing and approval.
  • Make modifications and/or integrate new improvements into new designs or existing designs to improve their performance. integrate new technology and make more cost effective.
  • Integrate new improvements into designs and with the quality assurance team to ensure that required quality standards are adhered to.
  • Interact with sales and customers, on design specifications, to ensure total satisfaction.
  • Assist in the creation and improvement of company wide process documentation.
  • Supports and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts.
  • Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-3 years of recent Design/CAD experience required
  • Solidworks experience highly preferred
  • Solidworks Professional Certifications a plus
  • Design/Engineering degree preferred
  • Experience with JD Edwards ERP a plus
